As a Workplace Assessor, you will play an integral role in the further growth of Open Colleges. As we continue to grow we require dedicated assessor's to travel the east coast and assess our students in the workplace.

 In this role, you will undertake the following core functions:

  • Undertake workplace assessments within Education Service Standards
  • Induct and support Workplace Supervisors
  • Conduct assessment interviews with the Workplace Supervisor and learner
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners within quality guidelines
  • Complete the necessary Workplace Assessment documentation
  • Participate in Assessment Validation and Moderation

To be successful in this role, you will also need the following key attributes and skills:

Experience in:

  • Meet Open Colleges’ Trainer and Assessor requirements including currency in industry 
  • Conducting workplace assessment within the course area
  • Current professional experience as a Registered Nurse/Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration 

Tertiary qualifications including:

  • Certificate IV in Aged Care with ability to map qualifications, skills and experience to our Individual Support, Disability and Leisure & Health courses
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) - essential
  • Assessor Skill set  

Throughout this role, you will need to remain up-to-date with:

  • Latest industry practice in the areas and units that you assess
  • Developments in the vocational education and training sector
  • Developments in teaching, learning and assessment in a blended learning environment

Please note: 

  • 12-month flexible contract as required initially
  • Constant Travel Interstate and Intrastate
  • Current Driver licence and vehicle
