Position Overview

The Student Recruitment Division Trainer will work closely with the key stakeholders of the Open Colleges Student Recruitment Division (SRD) and related business functions to maximise financial outcomes, customer and staff satisfaction and service levels by identifying and addressing training and knowledge management opportunities.

They will be responsible for ensuring that all resources under their control and influence are used to make the most effective contributions for the short and long-term objectives of the business.

This will be achieved by:

  • Reviewing and analysing performance metrics to identify training needs;
  • Developing, managing and delivering a holistic induction and on-going training program focused on sales effectiveness, quality, customer satisfaction and process management and compliance.
  • Supporting the implementation of key business initiatives through effective training and change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing existing business performance to identify any opportunities, gaps, risks and inefficiencies with a specific focus on sales effectiveness
  • Developing, delivering and managing all new starter training
  • Developing, delivering and managing ongoing training
  • Supporting knowledge management by updating process, policy and training documentation
  • Support the roll out of new initiatives through training
  • Providing regular reporting to key stakeholders on training needs and outcomes

Key Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in sales training in group and 1:1 environment
  • Ability to undertake and develop targeted training to deliver business outcomes
  • Experience in analysing business/sales performance to identify key training opportunities
  • Prior experience in developing, delivering and maintaining business wide sales training programs
  • Experience and understanding of the sales environment, preferably the Education industry
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders with varying drivers
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills
  • Well-developed communication skills – written and verbal
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the:
    • Australian Consumer Law
    • Australian Privacy Principles
  • Desired knowledge of the VET Quality Framework
